I grew up on the outskirts of Ballarat and moved to Melbourne to study Interior Decoration and Design. There I worked alongside an accomplished interior designer and as a kitchen designer, where I learnt that a beautiful space must also perform.

Hospitality then took me to Edinburgh, where I ran a bed and breakfast and was responsible for every part of the guest experience, from cooking and housekeeping to the care of each guest. I later managed around five properties for a five-star serviced apartment company, assisting with fit-outs and styling and overseeing all bookings and cleaning.

Returning home, I renovated more than eight properties and managed multiple short-stay residences. For more than ten years I have hosted guests, earning Superhost status, and it remains the work I am proudest of: creating a unique home away from home with an ambience guests remember.

Today, Gumption Interiors brings that experience to property owners across Ballarat. I style and manage short-stay properties on behalf of my clients, handling everything from the initial design and fit-out to listings, bookings, guest care, and housekeeping, so owners enjoy strong returns without the day-to-day work.

Ballarat is a town of history, character, art, and food, with a gold-mining heritage still present in its stone and streetscapes. I design spaces that reflect that spirit, then add a measure of luxury so guests feel transported.
